The Sweet Magnolias are a bellydance troupe performing and teaching in the Lower Alabama and Gulf Coast area. We specialize in American Tribal Style Bellydance (ATS) as created by Fat Chance Belly Dance. This style is derived and inspired by Gypsy and folk dances from India, the Midle East, Eastern Europe, and Spain. The dance is improvisational, done in a group, and led by visual cues. It focuses on group connection and is completely inclusive. Women of all ages and sizes have found tremendous joy, wellness, strength and a sense of community within ATS.
