Putting the "Tribal" into Tribal Fusion Workshop and Getting Your Groove On Hafla in Mobile, AL
Before there was ever a Rachel Brice, there was a Carolena Nericcio. Amy Henderson teaches this workshop focusing on the concepts, posture and basic movements of ATS that are essential to creating true Tribal dance fusions. We'll learn several slow and fast improvisational steps and then move into creating a fusion with them. Concepts will include connecting with audience and other dancers during performance and nonverbal communication--essential for any dance troupe regardless of style. Last hour will focus on skirtwork and techniques for 25-yard Tribal skirts. Runs 1-4 p.m. Cost for the workshop is $35 per person. ANYONE can perform! We'll have light refreshments and we'll have time to eat, dance. A small donation is suggested of $2.00 to support to the owner for use of the studio.
